MEET AMBERLEE
INSTRUCTOR
The Story Behind the Brand
Beauty Beyond Basics was created from my own passion for cosmetology and education. I began my beauty career at Northwest Shoals Community College, where I earned my Cosmetology License and then immediately continued my education to receive my Instructor’s License.
From the start, I knew I wanted to do more than just work behind the chair—I wanted to educate, inspire, and equip the next generation of beauty professionals with the tools they need to succeed.
Today, I’m a licensed cosmetologist, a licensed cosmetology instructor, and currently teaching at Modern Academy of Cosmetology, where I help students build their confidence, perfect their techniques, and prepare for successful careers in the beauty industry.
WHY BEAUTY BEYOND BASICS EXISTS
During my journey, I realized something important: traditional beauty school gives you the foundation, but it often stops at the basics. The industry keeps evolving, and stylists need continuing education to stay ahead, refine their skills, and learn how to build profitable, in-demand services.
Beauty Beyond Basics was born to bridge that gap—offering advanced classes, hands-on training, and real-world business strategies so beauty professionals can confidently take their careers to the next level.
